Application & Migration Directorate Appointment
Submitting your application through e-ikamet and attending your appointment at the Provincial Migration Directorate is the step that turns your paperwork into an official application. We handle the online submission and prepare you for your appointment.
From online submission to appointment.
The Turkish residence permit application is submitted through the e-ikamet online system, operated by the Presidency of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi Başkanlığı). Applicants who miss their scheduled appointment without a valid reason may have their application cancelled under the Implementing Regulation of Law No. 6458.
e-ikamet Online Application
We complete the online form, entering your personal details, permit grounds, address, and financial information. The system assigns an appointment slot at the Provincial Migration Directorate closest to your registered address.
Fee Payment
The application fee (harç) and residence permit card fee are paid via e-Devlet or designated banks before your appointment date.
Appointment Preparation
We review your complete document file against the official checklist and brief you on what to expect during the in-person appointment.
In-Person Appointment
You attend the appointment — we can accompany you — to submit biometrics, present original documents, and sign your application in front of a Migration Directorate official.
Application Number & Tracking
You receive an application reference number, which you can use to track your application status online while the decision is pending.
Residence permit sub-services
What you receive after your appointment: an official confirmation that your application has been submitted, plus your application reference number. This document is your proof of a pending application if your original visa or visa exemption expires while a decision is awaited.
Foreign applicant note: Under Law No. 6458, submitting a complete application before your visa or visa exemption expires generally allows you to remain in Turkey legally while your application is processed — even if the decision period extends beyond your originally authorized stay.
What the application triggers.
Your appointment isn't the end — it starts the review process that leads to your residence permit card.
Application Under Review
Your file is reviewed by Migration Directorate officials against the requirements of Law No. 6458.
Health Insurance Verification
Your private health insurance policy is checked for validity and minimum coverage for the requested duration.
Background Check
Standard background and security checks are conducted as part of every residence permit review.
Decision Notification
You're notified of the outcome via the e-ikamet system and, where applicable, by registered post.
Card Production
Upon approval, your physical residence permit card is produced by the General Directorate of Migration Management.
Card Delivery
The card is delivered by PTT Kargo to your registered address, ready for use.
